CRO Services
Your partner for organoid cultivation in space
We support researchers, biotechnology companies and pharmaceutical partners in planning and conducting organoid cultivation experiments in microgravity. At the core of our service is ORGANOSPACE, our automated, modular and customisable organoid cultivation platform, specifically designed for use in space.
We provide customers with access to our specialised hardware, enabling them to cultivate their own organoids under microgravity conditions. Beyond hardware provision, we support the entire experimental process, from initial project planning and biological requirements to experiment preparation, mission integration and execution.
The development of our first hardware prototype was supported by Innosuisse and carried out in collaboration with the engineering experts at CSEM. The prototype was successfully tested during a parabolic flight campaign in September 2026, marking an important milestone towards future in-orbit operations.
By combining specialised hardware with expertise in organoid biology and space biomanufacturing, we make space-based organoid cultivation more accessible to researchers and industry partners.

Organoids are 3D in vitro culture systems derived from self-organizing stem cells, recapitulating the in vivo architecture, functionality, and genetic signature of original tissues. Human tissue organoids have great potential in pharmaceutical research and testing, precision medicine and transplantation-based therapies. However, Earth -produced organoids require complex and sophisticated production processes with additives or supportive structures, making standardization and constant quality difficult to achieve. We have solved these Earth-based problems by producing in space: We developed a fully scalable biotechnological process to produce such human organoids from autologous mesenchymal stems in microgravity, where 3D growth and differentiation into complex tissues is achieved in the force-free environment.
As part of our production process, we are also developing the first commercial-scale custom hardware for organoid production in microgravity.
